June 28-July 4, 2007
On Thursday, June 28, the weeklong Sunoco Welcome America! festival kicks off with a schedule of great events and concerts taking place around Philadelphia — and all are easy to get to when you take SEPTA.
Regular SEPTA fares do apply for Welcome America events, but smart customers know that they can save money by purchasing a DayPass. For only $5.50, the DayPass offers unlimited travel on any bus, trolley, or subway route for a single day. DayPasses are also valid for a one-way ride on any Regional Rail Line, with the exception of service between Center City Philadelphia stations and Trenton, N.J. Attending one of the weekend Welcome America events? Don’t forget that parking is free at all SEPTA Regional Rail lots on Saturday and Sunday, so take the train and avoid traffic congestion and parking headaches.
On Wednesday, July 4, 2007, SEPTA Regional Rail trains will operate on a Sunday schedule, with additional service to accommodate riders attending the Liberty Concert and Fireworks show at the Philadelphia Art Museum. Selected Ticket Offices will also operate extended hours on June 30, July 2, and July 4 to accommodate riders attending certain events. Welcome America Ticket Office Extended Hours.
